Things that make you go Hmmmm...
02.20.08 -- By Nyquist
There are times where I just don\'t understand the way thing happen. For instance, why is it that a person could huck themselves wildly over a jump or on a quarter pipe, slam 50 times, and walk away unscathed? But then that same person could break their finger while messing around playing basketball or twist their ankle stepping down a curb. The reason I ask this question is because I found myself in a scenario similar to the one just stated. I crashed my ass off filming a few weeks back and walked away relatively OK, but then 2 weeks later, as I was hanging out in Josh Harrington\'s room, I start to laugh and try to get up out of a chair and I feel something around my rib pop. The pain moves in and almost a week later, here I am still in pain. I think I pulled a muscle sitting up, out of a chair while laughing. How lame is that?
But that\'s exactly what I was talking about. I won\'t say never, because I\'ll probably jinx myself, but it seems like you rarely get hurt trying the crazy stuff. It\'s always the little things that you do that get you hurt. Messing around during a casual session and break your hand, wrestling around with a buddy and sprain your ankle. It\'s the little things you do while you\'re not completely paying attention that get you.
I really don\'t have a point to this. I\'m just frustrated because I can\'t ride or doing anything until my rib feels better. POOP.
