Italy to Montreal to Germany

Well, I've just had a big 3 weeks on the road. I Started with a trip to Italy, for RedBull's Bike Night event, that has 12 BMX and 12 MTB riders that go through qualifying to get a position to team up with another rider, I qualified 5th so I got the 5th place MTB rider. On the Saturday night we began a head to head battle that didn't last long, we were knocked out first round!
Pretty much we had a 6 minute jam for our team verses another BMX and MTB team. Jam format.
I got to spend the whole day in Venice being a tourist. The place was amazing, but it was loaded with tourists, it felt like I was at Disneyland or something... I walked forever till I had to call it a day.
The next morning I flew to Montreal, Canada for a demo with the Haro Canada team for the Canada Day celebrations. I was up in a Lincoln limo truck which was pretty Pro.
The Demo was sweet with loads of people stopping to watch it. I rode with the local Haro team and some Bladers and Skaters. It was a good vibe and great time on Canada Day. Thanks Dylan and JaggerCo!
The next day I flew back to Europe to Cologne, Germany for the Masters contest. I was really looking forward to this contest as Ive had some good memories there from 01,02 and 04. But it was'nt too good. I got a black eye in Mini prelims from turn baring on a double whip air. Lucky I still made the finals, then I was'nt into Dirt too much, and then Park prelims I was looking forward to doing some moves I thought of. I couldnt practice any of it because of the 90 Pro's on course taking up the decks, but that's how it is. No worries. I 7'ed the box then bar to bus drove another box, then the first thing I went for was wallride to whip. I crashed pretty good with my leg out and felt my knee rip in half. I was pissed because I knew it bad. I had to go around the spine which had me ally-oop a bit and the deck wes fairly big too. I messed up. I hobbled around for the next 2 days and when I got back to Greenville I got a MRI that confirmed a Stage 2 MCL Sprain. Lucky nothing was torn So hopefully it wont hold me back to long. I have 10 day's from injury to Dew tour, so we'll see..
Take it easy, Colin
