Qashqai round 1, Milan Italy
05.01.08 -- Phil

The first stop of the Qashqai Challenge is over and even though I got 9th and the jumps were made of wood and sand, I had a good time. It was put best by Aaron Lutze when he said it felt like school was in session, except it was the first day back to the contest season and you got to see all of your friends from around the world that you haven't ridden with all winter. Working with what we had, the comp went well and the riding was sick. You can get all the details on www.summerofshred.com to see how the weekend played out for everyone.

Aside from the contest side of things, Aaron and I have accumulated a lot of miles recently and since we were always calling home about the ups and downs you deal with while you are on the road, we used some miles and flew out our girlfriends so they could see exactly what it is like to do what we do and to meet all the guys we travel with. Since the Qashqai is as big of a comp as it is, it was a good one for them to come to because things get pretty hectic. Anyway, everyone has flown home and I'm on my way to Madrid for the 2nd stop. Keep an eye out for whats to come, these comps are only gonna get bigger and better.

Phil
